The next Helotes Dispatch Center Public Education Course will take place on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The class will take place at the Helotes Fire Department (12951 Bandera Road).

Until Help Arrives The goal of this course is to teach participants basic skills to keep people with life-threatening injuries alive until professional help arrives. It's designed for adults with limited or no first aid training.
Stop the Bleed During this course, participants will learn proper bleeding control techniques, including how to use their hands, dressings, and tourniquets. The course is designed for those with little or no medical training to respond to and deliver trauma care and bleeding control prior to EMS arrival.
