The Helotes Dispatch Center is hosting the Stop the Bleed and Until Help Arrives free public education classes on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The classes will take place at the Helotes Police Department's training room located at 12951 Bandera Road in Helotes.
The coursework will include lessons on the following popular classes:
Until Help Arrives The goal of this course is to teach participants basic skills to keep people with life-threatening injuries alive until professional help arrives. It's designed for adults with limited or no first aid training.
Stop the Bleed During this course, participants will learn proper bleeding control techniques, including how to use their hands, dressings, and tourniquets. The course is designed for those with little or no medical training to respond to and deliver trauma care and bleeding control prior to EMS arrival.
There is no fee to participate, but all interested individuals must complete the online registration application. Apply today to reserve your seat!

Thank you for your interest in the Stop the Bleed and Until Help Arrives free public education classes hosted by the Helotes Dispatch Center! Acceptance is first-come, first-serve with a maximum capacity of 32 participants. We welcome participants starting at age 15 with parental consent for those under 18. Accepted students will receive an email to confirm their participation. The application deadline is Monday, November 26.
