Animal Control Officers impound unrestrained animals, and impound fees escalate with each impoundment.  Impounded animals are kenneled at the De Zavala - Shavano Veterinary Clinic, a no-kill facility located near the intersection of Lockhill-Selma and Loop 1604.  The Clinic is located at 4458 Lockhill Selma Road, Shavano Park, TX 78249, and its telephone number is (210) 699.3939.  Animals may also be impounded at the Helotes Humane Society and/or the San Antonio Humane Society.

If you are a City of Helotes resident and wish to surrender a domestic animal, please contact Helotes Animal Control for terms and fee information.
