Local Government Code Chapter 176 requires city officials and other persons to file a "conflict disclosure statement" with the City Secretary within seven days of becoming aware of conflict due to employment, a business relationship, or accepts one or more gifts with an aggregate value of $250 with a person who has contracted with the City or with whom the City is considering doing business.
The bill also requires a vendor that wishes to conduct business or be considered for business with the City and has a reportable conflict, to file a "conflict of interest questionnaire."  Click here to read LGC Chapter 176
