2021 Hurricane Outlook

The National Hurricane Center issued its first seasonal forecast for 2021 on May 20. It expects a more active than normal season with 13 to 20 named storms, 6 to 10 hurricanes, and 3 to 5 major hurricanes.

Hurricane Season Preparedness

Hurricane season starts June 1 and continues through November 30. In Helotes, our main threat from these storms is high winds, flooding, and tornados. Now is the time to ensure that you are ready for severe weather.
