Marian Mendoza joined the City of Helotes as City Administrator on February 3, 2020. In this role, she oversees a variety of municipal functions, including court, finance, purchasing, permits, public relations, and special events. Mendoza works closely with the Mayor and City Council to improve services for residents and visitors. Furthermore, she serves as executive director of the Helotes Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
She comes to Helotes from the City of Alamo Heights where she worked for 15 years in a variety of roles, mostly recently holding the position of Assistant City Manager. Mendoza has advanced skills in budgeting, information technology, and communications.
Marian and her husband have four children. They enjoy being active in the community. She earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University and is part of the Certified Public Management program at Texas State University.
