City Receives New Patrol Vehicles

April 11, 2018.

Helotes Police Chief, Rob Hunley, (Left) and Mayor Tom Schoolcraft inspect the first of two new Ford Explorer Police Interceptor patrol units that were ordered this year to replace two high mileage units. In 2010, the City implemented a new program using the Ford Municipal Credit Finance Program that enables us to purchase multiple vehicles, if necessary, to replace high mileage or old vehicles. The program has enabled us to maintain a fleet of new police patrol vehicles that are rotated out of service on four year intervals as well as purchase new vehicles, as needed, for the Fire Department and Public Works.
