San Antonio Water System stopped both late fees and water service shutoffs for nonpayment as part of our COVID-19 response. Now, as our community regains a sense of normalcy, SAWS will soon return to regular service practices, and it is important SAWS hears from you. By communicating with SAWS, this will allow you to understand the options available to you.
Starting October 2021, SAWS will begin service interruptions for customers with past-due balances. If you can’t pay your total balance, scheduling a payment arrangement will keep your water service on while giving you more time to pay off the balance. A payment arrangement will also prevent late fees, which will resume in August, from being applied to your account.
Starting a payment plan is simple:
- Visit saws.org/arrangement and choose a payment option.
- Need more time? Call us at 210-704-7297 to discuss options with a Customer Service representative.
- Each month, you will need to pay the payment arrangement amount PLUS your current monthly charges.
Remember, by scheduling a payment arrangement, you will be ensuring your water service will continue to stay on without interruption.
